The
US "national security" doctrine threatens the world since
decades - it's successor doctrine "war against terrorism"
tends to destroy any social progress ever achieved.
Neototalitarism of US origin threatens freedom and
peace.
All
Members shall settle their international disputes by
peaceful means in such a manner that
international peace and security, and justice, are not
endangered.
All
Members shall refrain in their international relations from
the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity
or
political independence of any state, or in any other manner
inconsistent with the Purposes of the United
Nations.

Give
peace a chance by going to
Baghdad!
Dear
Mr. Kofi A. Annan
with
great concern I watch the USA preparing a fullscale war
against the population of Iraq. Wars of aggression,
preemptive wars and first strike wars are against the
UN-rules. Therefore I urge you to stop this war from
happening - why should we stop this war from happening:
1)
The Iraqi people did suffer enough after 12 years of
sanctions. According to your UN-organisation ca. 500.000
children died the last 12 years because of lack of
sufficient nutrition or health care.
2)
Instead of creating enormous new hatred we may turn the
Iraqi people into friends by helping them with
scholarships, foodparcels etc. - THIS way of transforming
an enemy into a friend functioned very well already the
last 50 years for example between: USA - Germany / France
- Germany / Russia - Germany / Germany and practically
all European neighbour states which hated us Germans
after 2nd world war. So why shouldn't this strategy work
with Iraqi people?
3)
A war for oil makes no sense for all of us. Our sun sends
us every day 1000 times more energy than we consume
today. For example the German windpower industry alone
created 40.000 new jobs in the last 12 years. So getting
rid off the dependance on cheap fossil fuel is an
enormous chance for new jobs for the whole world.
As
a sideffect humankind will reduce the greenhouse effect
which endangers all of us to a big extent by introducing
the renewable energies on a large scale.
4)
As a Secretary-General who has taken wise actions you
will be memorised by humakind for centuries. GHANDI has
shown all of us that we have possibilities to solve
conflicts without violence.
You
- Mr. Kofi A. Annan have the possibility to stop this war by
going to the International Peace Groups which already stay
in the Iraq as human shield for the thousands of innocent
Iraqi children. IF YOU JOIN THESE PEOPLE the next weeks -
this will make the difference. The USA will not risk to
bomb and kill the UN Secretary-General. So your presence in
Baghdad would save thousands of innocents childrens life and
will change the world.
Please
go to Baghdad and stay there in order to prevent this
war.

Perhaps you can convince Pope John Paul II to join you in
your peace mission. I think this would be the biggest
reconciliation work ever done between Muslims and
Christians. And both of you will be memorised heartfully for
centuries by the whole world as peace-bringers.
